Expertise

I am Sheynaz Mamuti, a Counselling Therapist, and lead Sheynaz Mamuti Mental Health Services. Besides using the evidence-based model of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), I am also incorporating mindfulness into my therapeutic work. I have experience working with clients with a variety of mental health concerns, including autism, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I follow a client-centered, non-judgmental, and culturally responsive therapeutic approach.

What is Counselling Therapy?

In counselling therapy, a client's thoughts, feelings, behaviour, and social functioning are changed positively in concert with the client. The methods, strategies, and approaches used to attain mental, emotional, physical growth and adjustment throughout their lives blend human development and mental health concepts. Counselling therapy is a talk-based treatment that helps individuals maintain and develop their mental health and well-being by utilizing a range of professional competencies. Individual Registered Counselling Therapists use cutting-edge, research-based approaches to benefit their practices and specializations. These approaches include somatic-based mind-body work, art, music, and animal-aided therapy.

Counsellors with advanced certification offer mental health services to individuals, families, couples, adolescents, and groups. Counselling therapists are healthcare specialists who operate in various settings, including private practices, hospitals, clinics, care facilities, employee assistance programmes, rehabilitation centres, and public schools.
When people's ideas, feelings, moods, or conduct negatively impact their relationships, daily lives, or capacity to enjoy life, they usually seek counselling treatment.
